On Tuesday the 20th of February 2007 I set out for Glasgow via London Stansted. The flights went very well and I arrived around six in the evening.
I checked into Euro Hostel where I had booked a bed in a four bed dorm. It later turned out that my three roomies were noisy Celtic fans from Redding. I hardly slept a wink that night - the hostel was full of Celtic fans singing in the corridors and when they stopped others took over in the streets. I wonder what would have happened if Celtic had won - the match ended 0 - 0. Anyway, the next morning the weather was fine and I walked the streets of Glasgow till I met up with Ron in the afternoon. Then we drove off towards Lochgilphead - a close to two hours journey.
Ron experimented with a tomato soup with red wine (he was out of chicken stock), but it was quite tasteful. Unfortunately Archie couldn't come to the little in-house session as he had been in the studio all day.
Next morning Leonie had to go to work for a couple of hours and the weather was shite. Ron and I still went outside to see the surrounding area.
Leonie came back from work around noon and she and I drove off to Kennacraig to catch the Islay ferry. Aifric and Ron were to follow on the Friday night
